Our computer technology programs are designed to educate teachers and students on the use of multi-media computers, electronic communication, and Internet resources. The knowledge and training of the computer technology programs will improve the capability of students to become self-confident learners. Students will also become active participants in their own education and be better prepared for their future.
A few of the many programs that are incorporated into the daily curriculum are Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing and Microsoft programs. The program Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing educates students on how to use standard typing techniques and how to master other typing skills. Daily lessons incorporating technology and the use of the Microsoft programs are designed to increase the students’ basic knowledge of how to use a computer.
In the 21st century, technology is an integral tool in communication, thinking, and problem solving. Our students use technology to access information in the school, the community, and the world. Technological resources are used to explore real-world situations, and thus students use the acquired information to create knowledge. These crucial hands-on experiences will give students the confidence to utilize their skills in future educational and work-related endeavors.
